Don't worry America, he's still cute. The haircut mostly cleaned up the Korean mullet (and if you look closely, there are still some stray long hairs). Otherwise, he's still got that look that makes people weak in the knees and asking (I kid you not) "how did you get the cutest kid in the world?" So how else does one celebrate a new cut, oh and one's two week anniversary in the country AND your ten month birthday? What else but hit one of OP's hottest restaurants and tip back a few smooth margaritas! Oh wait, that was Dr. Mommy and Mr. Daddy's agenda...
Jack stuck to the simple stuff: beans and rice. Actually, he is not a huge fan of 'baby food' and eats as much solid food as possible. So he really did have a plate of beans and rice and amazingly, plowed through a good amount of the real food we gave him. Also, he didn't care for the high chair and was pretty good in Mr. Daddy's lap. But the food wasn't the real story. The restaurant was where we held Dr. Mommy's graduation party and the waitress who waited on us not only came over to say hello, but instantly cued in on Mr. Jack and said 'this little cutie wasn't at the party.' Nope, life will never be the same. But clearly all for the good.
A dinner out was followed up by a few dinners in as Uncle Matty Matt came into town and Krazy Aunt Karyn and Uncle Steven stopped over to bask in his glow. Lots of people coming and going and more grilling at Mr. Daddy's hip couldn't top Jack's first road trip. So what do you get when you marry Uncle Matty Matt's animal skills with Dr. Mommy's crazy fascination with tourism? But of course, Jack's first road trip to the zoo!
We still aren't sure whether Jack really got what the zoo was about, but the children's segment seemed to provide some "hey, its a really big Eddie eating and pooping over there!" moments followed by "I'll pop my head through the hole only if you do too and Dr. Mommy takes a picture." But in the end, it must have been a good trip since a pass out means that it was a good day.

Next weekend? Jack's first Gopher event!

Hey Pat and Sarah and Jack,
Just got caught up on the baby blog today and thought I'd say hi. Looks like you all are doing well! I need to come by for a visit soon. Maybe after "attachment therapy" is over so I get to hold the little guy. Anyway, glad to see the fam is doing well and I will talk to you soon!
