On Montana!
Following Mormons, monkeys, buffalo, and geysers, we finally arrived in Montana. First stop? Mr Daddy and Dr. Mommy's math geek friend, Mr. Rob. After just returning from Korea, Rob hosted us for the evening and present Jack with a Korean soccer t-shirt.
Then, we headed to Unky Tim, Cousin Sammy and Aunt Peggy's place.

Salt Lake City Zoo
I can't really tell you much about these pictures as while Jackson and Mr. Daddy were playing around at the zoo, I was at Temple Square doing a little participant observation (i.e. watching people and taking copious notes and pictures for possible use in future research.) However, I think in this picture Jackson is petting a lizard. He also pet a bunny. You can ask him which he liked better.
Mr Daddy says: one monkey looking at another...
Jack looking at monkey up close and personal...
Here, Jackson is drinking a blue slushy. I can tell you that his face was blue for rest of the day.

Summer Fun
Yesterday we were outside and the kids were running through the sprinkler. A photographer from the Chicago Tribune asked if he could take their picture because they looked like they were having so much fun. After inspecting his credentials, we said yes. At first, the kids posed for the camera. We had some trouble getting them to take an "action shot" after that. Here are a couple of the pics he sent us. I will let you know if they end up in the paper.

Swimming in the hotel pool
Do you remember asking mom and dad to stay at a hotel with a swimming pool? Unky Matt and I did. Jackson is finally learning the joys of hotel swimming

Boston Children's Museum
Another fun day in Boston. It is hard to imagine this climbing contraption but it is about 4 stories high and Jackson climbed in with no fear. Dr. Mommy was not happy about it as he wouldn't come out.
Here is the bubble room. They also have one at the Minnesota Children's Museum so Jackson knew exactly what to do.
The special exhibit was Curious George.
He also really like the construction room.

New England Aquarium
We loved the New England Aquarium. Jackson in particular was a fan of the sharks in the big tank, the turtles and fish in the fish hospital and the penguins. They also had a great gift shop where he picked out a cup that he used for rest of the vacation. There were a lot of kids from school groups there but we still had a great time.

Clam Chowdah in Boston
New England Clam Chowder isn't necessarily the most appealing food on first glance, but Jackson loved it. He ate it twice while we were on the East Coast.
This is him smiling not making an "icky" face. Sometimes it is hard to tell.
