Joke of the Day

Jack told his first 'real' joke:
Knock knock
Who's there?
Onamonapia
Onamonapia who?
Onamonapia in a box

He brought down the house...

Road Trip...Frozen Four...the second game

Between periods in the second game, Mr. Daddy had a friend sitting behind the bench who we came down to see.
While we were waiting, Jack got his ultimate dream, to see the hole.
Jack has always loved the idea of the hole. And seeing the team was really cool.
And then, out come the Bulldogs!
Best part? Jack got to bump fists with the Dogs on their way out. Very cool.

Road Trip...Frozen Four...the first round

So after a good road trip, we arrived at the X (its suppose to show Then There Were Four but Mr. Daddy had camera issues that day).
First job? Photos!
Then? Shout out to the hometown....
Then a little practice...
During which, you gotta...GOTTA...play with the free hand outs from the door. Aunt Pam models the birthday hats.
And Mr. Daddy models the Jason masks.
But of course, the key for Jack? The zamboni...
Game on!

Road Trip...Frozen Four...the play ground

So a couple months ago, Jack, Mr. Daddy and Miss Trudy hit the road. Where would we drive for 7 hours? The land of Goophers of course. And why? To see hockey (sans said Goophers).
On the way, Jack was excellent. Miss Trudy even said so. As did Iron Man.
But near Miss Trudy's alma matter, we had to stop. Where? The playground of course. Jack found the land of Badgers to be most accommodating.

Daddy's birthday

For Mr. Daddy's birthday, we wanted to do something simple. Of course, had to start with the grand prize...
Then, we grabbed some friends and headed to the 'birthday restaurant'. Of course, we had to have Mr. Rusty, Miss Jennifer, and Miss Trudy.

Papa (and Mema) and Eden and KK popped in too...
Hard to guess it, but I think we know who Jack's favorite is...
Jack and Mr. Daddy, celebrating with our Frozen Four hats (more to come on that).

Easter...delayed...deux

As we established, Jack was unsold on Easter. Liked the idea. Not so sure on the reality. Had to check with Unky...
In some ways, the bar was set low...
Unky Matt? He tried. "Dude, did you see the eggs laying around? Its a freakn' gold mine..."
Eventually, we got moving...
In the end, Jack was rolling, almost literally.

Easter...delayed

Yes, yes yes. Mr Daddy is still catching up. But hey, relative to hockey, I'm only 1 month behind. For easter, we hit a local brunch. Jack got to meet the Easter Bunny.
I'm not sure he's convinced...
As always, Unky Matt was in the house. And of course, Jack is convinced Unky is THE MAN...

And sometimes he's THE GOOFBALL...

Jackson Quote of the Day

We were at one of our favorite restaurants eating out on the patio and Papa ordered a Scotch on the rocks.  Jackson said, "Papa, you can't eat rocks in that."

Jack Hits the Road

Jack's good friend's Mr. Rusty and Ms. Jennifer needed to borrow our garage during the tough winter to store their car.
During that time, as you may remember, Jack got car from KK for Christmas.
So after a winter of learning to drive inside (sans battery), Jack finally got his car moved to the garage.
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engine.

Mea Culpa

So Mr. Daddy would like to apologize for the long absence of posts on Jack. The pictures and events have been there but they haven't gotten posted. So in the next few weeks, I'll try to get some older updates on Jack. First stop, hockey. So Jack ended up his stint with hockey skating lessons. By its conclusion, he was doing pretty well. Found a friend, blazed all over the ice...
And then had a nice fireside chat.
Now, back to the drive way.
Next stop: soccer.
