Winter Begins

After a scorching summer, what is better to cool the mind than heading down to Play It Again Sports and getting ready for 8' of snow?
So as Unky Pam asked, does Jack think he lives in the land of Gophers? The answer is no, but he's preparing for the battle.
Yes, he looks a little bit like a super hero in his armor with his symbol on his chest. But as the woman in front of us in line said: I don't like hockey but that is the cutest kid I've ever seen. Yes, yes he is. Lessons start in October.

Jack's Friend Returns

Our good friends, Mr. Rusty and Ms. Jennifer are back in Chicago. While Ms. Jennifer waits for Rusty to finally arrive, she's become best buds with Jack.
On one of the way too many hot and humid days, we headed off to ice cream...
Eat it! Eat it all!
Something Jack and Dr. Mommy can definitely agree on...

Pounding the Diamond

So as Dr Mommy says, we never thought we'd have such an athlete. Soccer, basketball, and of course hockey. But Jack also digs baseball. So we headed to the field down the block.

Put me in coach!
After getting the call, he had to warm up...
Then: eyes on the prize. Eyes on the prize...
Eat your heart out A-Rod! Rounding the bases...
Only the strong survive...
Believe it or not, Jack actually had an audience while we played...

Multiple Chickens without Heads

Jack's school had its summer picnic. So after the healthy dinner of hot dogs, chips, and watermelon, he decided to burn off some calories with his classmates.
As Jack says: The Mark, The Set, The Go!
Dog Pile!

All I want for Christmas...

Dr. Mommy and Mr. Daddy's Anniversary Dinner

So Jack joined us for our anniversary dinner at a local sushi place. The 'happy hour' menu was full of rolls and since the waitress delivered the rolls before our edamame, Jack decided to give a sushi roll a shot.
Verdict? 'Not good.' He needed water.
So Jack went to what we ordered him to begin with, chicken fried rice. He even used chop sticks!
Verdict? 'Very good.' Although after picking out the chicken with the chop sticks, he had to resort to 'primitive' methods to deal with the rice.
