Creativity in full force

Over the last year, Jack has moved heavily into playing pretend. His creativity in some ways so surprises Dr. Mommy and Mr. Daddy that he has to tell us: its pretend Daddy. Last weekend, after a trip to Costco, Jack turned our packing box into a garage for his trucks. But after seeing Eddie use it as his 'condo', Jack decides to use the box for something different.

For a while, we thought maybe Jack was going to move out of his bedroom.

But then he let us in on the secret: its a hotel Daddy! Sleep tight buddy...

Best part? According to Jack there is milk in there!

When Jack Gets Thristy

His first choice is apple juice. But then he remembers the TV commercial from his youth.

I had a V-8 Dr. Mommy!

Papa...he's my grandpa and my horse

One day, over at the condo, Papa found himself "accidentally" in a prone position, which of course led to a rousing attempt at the Kentucky derby.

Clearly, Jack didn't mind. And thankfully, Papa survived.

Happy Birthday

So Jack reached that magic milestone of 3 and in grand fashion. What more could a kid want but a Spiderman themed party? We opened presents for him on his birthday and then had a party later that weekend.

Even before the 'big' party started, Spiderman was in full force.

At the party there was lots of candy. Grandma K made him a cape to go with his outfit, which luckily didn't stop him from eating.

And the evening of course was highlighted by a rousing rendition of the old favorite (flanked by Spidermen)...

As you may tell from the video above, there were more adults than children at his party. Yes, Dr. Mommy and Mr. Daddy need help. But anways...Happy birthday kid!

Riding the Rails with Dr. Mommy

So one of the things Dr. Mommy and Jack did during the summer was to have some 'excursions'. One that had to happen was visiting Mr. Daddy downtown on Metra Micah.

Even took Jack's breathe away.

Good times!

And then it all came crashing down...

Right off the boat? Disaster.

No nap? Too much ice cream? Scary hot dog men? You'd cry too.

Boat Trip

On our final day, we did a boat ride on the lake. The brain trust awaits...

As we loaded, Jack wanted to check out the other boats...

It isn't a trip if we aren't having dualing cameras.

I think the vote is that it was a good time!

Amazing. I have no idea why Mr. Daddy doesn't like Wisky more. I mean, dude! Giant hot dogs!

Road Trip

Dr. Mommy told Mr. Daddy she wanted one last long weekend before summer was over so Mr. Daddy booked a quick trip over the boarder to Wisky. While there, we stayed at a nice hotel. Jack loved the video arcade. "Daddy, we saw one of these in Maine!"

Other excursion was across the street to the municipal play ground. What better than one that looks like a pirate ship!
