Holiday Festivities

Unky Matt came from Columbus for Christmas.  He and Jackson always have a good time together.  Here Jackson is getting some well-deserved tickling.

Mema, Dr. Mommy and Eddie work on a jigsaw puzzle.

Unky Matt and Jackson build a gingerbread house.

Looks good.

Jackson keeps saying he is going to "eat it all."

Look at that roof!

Deck the Halls and All that Jazz.

Dr. Mommy got a little more help this year with the tree from Jackson.

Mema decided that we should sting popcorn for the tree this year.

"Ooh, look at this one."

"Mama, I need to get up higher."

And now for the dismount.

"Let me help."

"I'm losing interest.  Thinking about how i am going to play hockey with this big tree in my play area."

Mema's Birthday!

Jackson planned all of Mema's birthday celebration this year.  He thought she should have chocolate icing on the cake with sprinkles and that we should take her for pizza.  Luckily, she thought this sounded pretty good.

He also helped her blow out her candles.

And he helped her unwrap her presents.

Finally, the Head Elf himself

This is Jack's 3rd year of Snacking with Santa so we were pretty excited about him 'getting it' this year. Outside of being a tad scared when St. Nick entered, Jack was pretty good.
Of course, he told Santa what he wanted, a big fire truck (and he mentioned that Unky Matt wanted to get into a graduate school, especially one in Hawaii). He was in good spirits.
And then, he was off like a blur to check under the tree...
Sorry Jack, gotta wait till Christmas.

Off to Snacking with Santa

Every year, Jack's adoption agency hosts Santa for a small get together with the kids. This year Mother Nature decided to drop some snow that day so we had to hit the road early not to miss the old elf. Little did we know the roads would be empty and we were 30 minutes early. Soooo....we decided to hit Jack's favorite fast food spot, Old McDonald's. Which happened to have a play ground. Jack quickly made friends....
Half way through the play time, Jack needed to hit the space ship.

Good times should always conclude with a final shot with host.

Summer Flashback...Part 2

So after reminiscing about last summer, Jack decided we needed to attack the world and make it summer. First stop? Soccer in the snow....
After kicking the ball around, it was snow man time...
So yes, its a little weak but it was the first snow of the year so we'll ask for some slack. Then, of course, after some hard playing, a little summer work needed to be done. Darn snow, needs to be mowed...

As with the chess game, we have to end with...who doesn't see this coming? Jack the Destroyer...

Summer Flashback

So earlier this summer, we made a trip up north and one morning when we got up, Jack and Mr. Daddy grabbed their juice and coffee (respectively) and headed out for a big game of chess.
After Mr. Daddy carefully explained the rules to Jack, Jack asked a few questions. "So the Bishop moves how?" "What about the Queen?"
Then? Jack decided to go a different route.
In the end: Victory!
And then, Jack the Destroyer made his requisite appearance to finish the game.

Bad animals!

When Jack's animals don't behave, they need a time out...in the basketball hoop of course.

Baking with Unky

During Unky Matt's last visit, he and Jack got down to serious business: making cookies.
In all seriousness, Jack is actually pretty good in the kitchen. That is till it all gets funny.
Shapes galore!
Clearly, Jack likes hanging with Unky.
