Jack considers construction as a career

Look, I've built a castle....

Can I get a little help?

I've seen Eddie do this.  Piece of cake!
This seemed like a good idea at first....

Jack Jams

So this is sideways but unless someone can tell me how to rotate a video (I know how to do pictures), you'll have to forgive me and watch this sideways and get a true sense of the musical magic of Jack. (FYI, The Producers is the music in the background)

Merry Christmas!

As most of you know, we were supposed to spend Christmas in the Fatherland, but the crazy winter weather kept us at home. Not to worry, although we were really looking forward to seeing family and for Jack to meet his only cousin, we made the best of it here.

Below is Jack on this really cool scooter he got from Aunt KK. You make it move with the steering wheel. Right now he sits on it and we push or Dr. Mommy rides it and Jack pushes. Notice the stylish "I love Santa" bib.

From Santa, Jack received a basketball hoop . There is one at My Gym and when Jack walked in and saw it, he knew just what to do.He also got this big bouncy ball. Don't worry, he doesn't ride it, he just pushes it around.
What else is in here?

From Grandma and Grandpa B he got many new clothes for "school" starting in January. It's not really school, obviously. We just like calling it that because it is at the college that I teach at. He also received these cool boots. He had to put them on immediately.
Unky Matt and Auntie Mel got Jack an OSU sweatsuit and this book with animal pictures. We haven't been able to get a picture of it yet, but he kisses the pictures of the kitten and the cat. So cute.
Uncle Steven brought over cake for Christmas Eve dinner. Jack went to bed before it was served but here he is enjoying it on Christmas day. He loves his cake.It isn't clear that Jack knew exactly what was going on, but he seemed to enjoy the presents and the food. He loves candy canes. Little does he know, he still has presents to open from Uncle Tim and Aunt Peggy and from Grandma and Grandpa K.

The Hammer of Thor Runs Wild

I am Thor and you will bow to my power!

That means you Eddie! (No animals were harmed in the creation of this post)

Dr. Mommy, stop working! I command you! (A Mommy may have been dinged in the creation of this post).

A Christmas Tradition, All New

As most of you know, Mr. Daddy loves to fiddle around and pose our Christmas card.  For the sixth year, we have worked to stage a card that highlights our child.  This year, for the first time, Eddie is not going solo.  We still don't know how he feels about that but this year, we have a keeper on the dual child card after some bribing, sugar high activities.
So we expect you all to be waiting by the mailbox for this year's version.  In the meantime, fun antics were had by all...well, maybe except Eddie...

Mr. Daddy and Jack Play with Food

Trust me Jack, this will be awesome.  You just need to let it slide down your throat.

We're the parents of the popular kid

It is weird being the parents of the popular kids, but we are. Everyone loves Jackson because it always so happy and generally energetic. He was invited to a birthday party of a little boy he met at My Gym. He loves My Gym. He loves the equipment, the activities and the staff (they talk about him when he's not there!). And they all love him. The pictures below are of the birthday party which was held at My Gym.

Here are Jackson and Mr. Daddy on the trampoline.

Jack Channels Jeff Bridges

Jack, what do you do for recreation?
Oh, the usual, I bowl. Drive around. The occasional 'sugar high' flashback.
Don't mess with the Dude...

Future Scholar

Jack doesn't like hats but Dr. Mommy's cap got him thinking big thoughts.

I'm Too Sexy for My Shirt

Some day soon he will kill me for these pictures but I can't help myself.  He is just too cute.

Santa Who?

We decided to take Jackson to his adoption agency to meet "the man in red."  Santa was great.  He was funny and very patient.  Here Jack asks for world peace, the Fast Lane 1:6 R/C Hummer H3, and an end to the recession.

Thanksgiving, Part 2

For those of you who have eaten with Jack probably think we just don't feed him.  This is just not the case.  He eats like this all of the time.  But here are a few more pics from Thanksgiving so everyone can see how much Jack loves to eat.

Jack begins his spiritual training

Jack decided to wear his birthday outfit for his baptism.  He is such a handsome little guy.
The church is pretty old for this part of the world and he liked the cherubs depicted on the intricate baptismal font.  They are just about the same size as him.

Here he gets holy water from Mother Shawn.  He didn't mind.  They had done a preview, however, there were points when Jack seemed to think the whole process was taking too long and was going to dip his hand in and do it himself.
Here are the parents and the new godparents.  Jack made them an offer they couldn't refuse.
More presents, who knew?
And in the end, its really all about food.
Leave it to Aunt KK to supply the sweets!

Food makes Jack a happy man.
"My Grandma B is always stealing my sugar so I must replenish."
(From Dr. Mommy even though posted under Mr. Daddy).

Jack's First Thanksgiving

The day started off in traditional form:  the Macy's parade.  This Jack didn't seem to get.  'Dr. Mommy, why is he wiggling his bottom on TV and why is someone not complaining to the FCC?' (Dr. Mommy says, whatever.  He loved the singing and the dancing.)

In terms of pulling forward some Dr. Mommy family traditions, Dr. Mommy and Grandpa B hit the tree store and we decorated.  Jack wanted to help.  'Uncle Matty Matt, when is it my turn?'

Then we moved outside.  'Mr. Daddy, do I get to help now???'
In time, it came and Jack got to put his first ornament on the tree...
But of course, Turkey day is all about...food.  Dude, how much did I just eat?
