Planking LA

While in LA, Mr. Daddy had this crazy idea that Jack should participate in the newest, craziest Internet trend: planking. If you don't know what planking is, you can either Google it or you'll figure it out below. But bottom line, Jack was game right out of the box so where better than the La Brea Tar Pits.
Well, strictly speaking, Mr. Daddy kind of messed up the first run with the arms but Jack learned pretty quickly to do it right.
So next stop, the park with the wedding.
Last stop, a random utility box.
Who said over educated parents aren't fun?

Jackson Quote of the Day

At the zoo the announcer on the tram tells us that one of the camel's name is Socrates.  Jackson says, "yes, Soccer team.  His name is Soccer team."

Jackson and his friends

Jackson and Johnny

Jackson and his new BFF, Quinn.  Unfortunately, he lives in Kentucky.

Here Jackson and Quinn are carefully watching the flower girl climb up this . . . whatever it is.  I am pretty sure they had been told by both sets of parents to avoid it.  However, they must follow the pretty girl.

Another park

Holding hands with "Johnny, Johnny, Johnny"

Guarding the potty so Dr. Mommy can go pee.

Momentary exhaustion.

Tree climbing.

Jackson finds a park

We had just reunited with our friend Johnny and wanted some time to talk.  So the best way to do that is to find Jackson a playground.  Here he enjoys one of the many playground areas in Elysian Park.

He was being really good, especially since he skipped his nap, so here he enjoys a popsicle the size of his arm.  It came out of ice cream truck which apparently makes it taste better.

Jackson living the high life

They had an outdoor pool on the roof of our hotel.  He loved it!  He said he wanted to go everyday.  He did get to go a couple of times.  He also likes his life jacket.

Venice Beach

Jackson at the skate park at Venice Beach.  He thought the "skateboard men" were really cool.  He then tried to replicate some of their moves.

Talking to a palm tree?  I'm not sure.

We were in LA for Dr. Nori's wedding.  Here Nori and Jackson contemplate the waves and going for a swim.

Here they run from the waves and into a bathing beauty.

After he wore Dr. Nori out, he wasn't through yet.  We danced and rolled around in the sand.

He got so wet and sandy that he got to buy a new shirt.

Jackson Quote of the Day

On the way home from school Jackson and I had a conversation about a museum--an olive museum.  Apparently it is just down the street.  We can't tell daddy about it because it is a secret.  However, we can tell Jesus.
