Finding love on the road

On the road, what reminds a Daddy of home? Why Yertle and Gaggie of course!

Hanging out with Aunt Pam

What way is the quickest to have a four year old love you?
Parks! Although food, candy, toys, and Gopher games probably slide in #1-#4.

New Best Friend?

We couldn't decide who liked whom better, Jack or Tommy.

Long Day

Jack and Mr. Daddy headed up north to see the ole alma matter play at homecoming. Mr. Daddy ran into a friend who works for the other team's home newspaper. Low and behold, Jack and Mr. Daddy make the paper in the land of Cornhuskers.

The caption reads that Jack thinks the band is too loud.

Heading to Korea Fest

Every year, Jack's agency hosts a festival for Korean adoptees. While heading up, Mr. Daddy incorrectly calculated the time it would take to get there and we arrived 45 minutes early. What do you do when you are early to your event? Why stop at the local firestation for an open house!

Key to the tour of the fire station? Fire trucks! And as his Mema said, you gotta find the 18 year old fireman and ask him questions.
Lots of question.
I mean lots.
And in the end, convince him to let you drive the truck.
Following the firetruck, we found tons of other stuff to do. Shooting fire hoses at garbage can fires...
Fire equipment...
Ambulances...
Animal balloons? Animal balloons!
And how best to wrap up an open house with the fire department? JUMPIE HOUSE!

Back in the saddle

Or on the ice as the case may be. Jack was very quickly back to form. I think it literally took him 10 minutes to be back at where he was at the end of last year.
His friend Leo is in his class which helps out.
In his second class, Jack started moving to not falling ("The ice is slippery Daddy!") to more coached fundamentals.
Clearly he's having a good time.
But not quite understanding that when Coach means 'hockey ready,' he's not saying 'head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes...'

Daddy went to a football game and...

Yes, he was not happy. "It's not fair that only you get to go." Yes, its not. But look, he got a blow up headset! That kind of went over like a lead brick. Does this fit on my toys? Kinda.
We finally figured out that Doc Hudson (corrected) and Mater (see Cars) wear them when talking to Lightning McQueen.

Party at the Brown Cow II

After the fun and games, it was time for food with Jack's friends.
Then, it was time to get down to the real business...ice cream! First, the staff helped everyone with their toppings.
And finally, back to the table.
I think Jack was happy.

Party At the Brown Cow

Big three became four last month and yes, its a month since Jack's birthday and we are just getting around to posting on it. But anyways, for his birthday, we hosted a party for Jack and his school friends at a local ice cream parlor. Unky Matt came into town for the party. Jack couldn't wait to show him the way.
Once there, we had our own room for the party.
The staff was outstanding. Games...
Food...
And, eventually, ice cream.
