More Buddhas

****This blog post is actually a few days old. Aunty PJ found it lost in an email chain. Sorry!****

Our last day trip of our time in Nanchang took place at where else but a Buddhist temple.  Needless to say Dr. Mommy had chills getting ready.

We quickly found out that since it was the first month of the lunar calendar, the place was packed with people.  People praying, people burning incense.  Bottom line:  people.

Dr. Mommy (and Addie) and one of our other families dads burn incense at the temple.

The place was very cool.  Three different temples each with giant Buddhas.  We didn't take any pictures inside so as not to be disrespectful.  We did find this turtle statue which apparently was given by a 'sister temple' from Korea.  Rock on ROK.

After a long, and very hot stay (which was punctuated by Chinese women telling us it was hot and to get the girls in the shade), we headed to a park across the street.

An ice cream cone and a Coke and we were all good.
