Hanging out at the Mall

Jack was surprised when we told him we were going to meet a friend at the mall and it turned out not to involve shopping.
So after meeting Mrs. Amber, we explained the 'mall.'
Once Jack understood what the U's mall involved, he decided 1000 ft of unimpeded grass was pretty cool.
Quickly, he had the adults playing right into his hands. Run Monkeys! Run!
Jump! Jump!
Ugh. Look who pooped out first?
No worries. He survived.

Road Trip

So it always seems we're hauling Jack for road trips. I guess the fact that he almost has his first frequent flier ticket would confirm he's flown a little too much. But as he grows, we have had to 'pack' some extras to keep him amused at the airport.
Yes, he's even learned to drive his train on the ground.

Creativity in full force

Over the last year, Jack has moved heavily into playing pretend. His creativity in some ways so surprises Dr. Mommy and Mr. Daddy that he has to tell us: its pretend Daddy. Last weekend, after a trip to Costco, Jack turned our packing box into a garage for his trucks. But after seeing Eddie use it as his 'condo', Jack decides to use the box for something different.
For a while, we thought maybe Jack was going to move out of his bedroom.

But then he let us in on the secret: its a hotel Daddy! Sleep tight buddy...

When Jack Gets Thristy

His first choice is apple juice. But then he remembers the TV commercial from his youth.
I had a V-8 Dr. Mommy!

Papa...he's my grandpa and my horse

One day, over at the condo, Papa found himself "accidentally" in a prone position, which of course led to a rousing attempt at the Kentucky derby.
Clearly, Jack didn't mind. And thankfully, Papa survived.
And Unky Matt?
He's my firetruck...
